Sperm preparation, is the process that is performed with the semen sample to prepare and be used for some assisted reproduction technique: IUI, IVF, ICSI or PICSI.
This process eliminates the seminal plasma, dead sperm and other cells that are semen sample, and also allows you to select motile sperm.
The sample is usually obtained through masturbation. The patient should take and deliver the semen sample following the criteria of "semen collection and transportation."
